Rectus Series 25 Couplings

Rectus series 25 quick release couplings incorpoate Ultraflow technology which gives you a very high flow rate. Featuring a robust design with a steel sleeve this range is designed for higher flow tools and consumers up to 2500 litres/minute.

This is a very widely used and popular series intended for use in a range of industrial and automotive applications.

The adaptor, plug or probe profile is the European industrial standard and interchangeable with Rectus 26, Rectus 1600/1625, Cejn 320, Tema 1600, Norgren 234/238, JWL 520 & JWL 530 and various German products.

The coupling body is made from nickel plated brass and the sleeve is made from nickel plated hardened steel. The plug is made from zinc plated hardened steel.

To connect simply push the plug in as normal and to disconnect pull back the sleeve.

This coupling is a 'single shut off' type which means that when the coupling and plug are separated the air in the plug side is vented to atmosphere. The coupling should always be fitted on the upstream side of the air flow.

The coupling is available with BSPT Taper threads male or BSPP Parallel threads female or with a hosetail.

An anti-whip version of the plug is also available for hose ends. This plug allows full flow in the forwards direction. When the plug is removed from the socket the airflow out of the plug (in the reverse direction) is restricted so the air in the hose is vented slowly. This is a safety feature which prevents the hose from whipping and causing injury (which can happen if the air is vented quickly).

A further version of the plug incorporates a flexible joint. This would normally be fitted to a compressed air tool which gives the user more flexibility.
